Boiler service, breakdown & repairs

Is your boiler due a service?

Is your heating system giving you a problem? Is your boiler old, tired & inefficient? Our fully qualified engineers are the people to call for all sorts of heating problems, servicing & upgrades: leaking boilers, faulty vented or unvented cylinders, boilers not firing up, cold radiators & boilers losing pressure, to name but a few.

Most importantly, all our engineers are Gas Safe accredited (formerly CORGI).

New boiler installations

We have a very experienced team that can install all makes of boiler, whether it’s natural gas, oil or LPG. Whether it’s a combi, heat only boiler or system boiler. With long guarantees for peace of mind for years to come!

Gas, Oil and LPG

Whatever fuel your home runs on

Gas & LPG

We are Gas Safe registered & have engineers that can also cover LPG works. This includes boiler works, gas fires, gas cookers including hobs, water heaters, range cookers, pipework, flue liners and combustion performance analysis.

Landlord Safety Certificate checks

We provide many landlord safety certificates for rented properties. This includes domestic properties / light commercial / offices / shops up to 70kw, Static caravans & mobile homes.

Oil

We have Oil qualified engineers to work on various appliances, including:

  • OFT10-101Single stage pressure jet service and commission
  • OFT10-105EOil / Bio Fuel fixed combustion appliance and system installation
  • OFT10-600aOil storage and supply system installation connected to appliances

Unvented water cylinders

BPEC G3 qualified for unvented hot water

Unvented water heaters provide good flow rates at taps and appliances, and need less installation space than conventional gravity systems. Because they are sealed, their installation is strictly controlled by part G3 of the building regulations.

We are BPEC G3 qualified, meaning we can safely install all unvented hot water systems, service & provide repairs. We also carry out yearly services to make sure everything is working as it should be, and we have both qualified plumbers and electricians to handle these jobs.

  • Potentially better flow rates and stronger pressure at taps, showers etc.
  • This is a very quiet system.
  • Ideal if you have more than one bathroom.
  • Reduced risk of water contamination.
  • It’s space-efficient and can be installed anywhere from the loft to the garage.

Underfloor heating

Warm floors, no radiators in the way

Underfloor heating pumps warm water via evenly spaced plastic pipes below the floor, and suits varied floor types and coverings. We have extensive experience in all the different types of underfloor heating which can be installed throughout your home. Where we install these systems, we use a high quality multi-layer pipe with an airtight aluminium layer.

Running costs

Typically, the yearly running costs of a properly designed underfloor heating system save you up to nearly a third less than standard radiator systems, mainly because low temperature water can be used.

Design freedom

Make the most of each room in your home and enjoy more space without unsightly radiators and the associated safety hazards for young children.

Comfort

Enjoy a gentle, more even heat as the entire floor area is heated without the hot and cold spots often found on radiators.

Solid underfloor system

We use Polypipe underfloor heating panels. The lightweight panels guide the pipe into the right spacings and lift it slightly off the insulation, so the pipe is fully enveloped by the screed for better heat penetration and retention.

Staple underfloor system

Fixed directly onto the insulation layer before a screed or concrete floor goes down. The more traditional method, and a cost effective solution for screeded floors.

Power flush

Cold spots on your radiators?

A corroded system can be very inefficient, especially if sludge builds up. A power flush is a one-off, all day deep clean with a machine linked to your heating system.

  1. 1Your whole system will last longer.
  2. 2Heating bills are kept low.
  3. 3Radiators warm up as they should without cold spots.
  4. 4There’s less risk of breakdowns and emergency call-outs.

Renewables

Heat pumps and rainwater harvesting

Ground source heat pumps

Ground source heat pumps use underground pipes from the garden to carry heat from the ground to radiators, underfloor and hot water systems. The ground stays at a fairly even temperature, so the heat pump works all year round. If space is at a premium, drilling a vertical borehole is an option.

Air source heat pumps

An Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) looks like an air conditioning unit and typically goes behind or at the side of a property. It takes heat from the air and raises its temperature via a heat pump. Air-to-water systems feed your wet central heating; air-to-air systems heat your home through fans. No digging is needed in your garden.

Rainwater harvesting

Increasingly, we all need to use water more carefully. Harvested rainwater can be used outdoors for irrigation or cleaning, and indoors for flushing loos and running washing machines. Peak storm water run-off is reduced, lessening the risk of flooding, and water bills come down.

Bathrooms & wetrooms

Complete bathrooms, all under one roof

Our highly experienced team of designers and fitters can take on any project you require. We do many bathrooms & wetrooms for customers and builders/developers, and with our own carpenters, plasterers, electricians and tilers we can fit any tiles of your choice from ceramic to limestone.

Whether you are after that ultra modern hotel look with a wetroom shower and wall hung sanitaryware, or just a traditional bathroom, we are always happy to advise.

New bathrooms, ensuite and shower rooms

On an extension or new build, that’s not a problem. More and more people are choosing shower rooms, wetrooms and adding ensuite bathrooms to bedrooms.

New wetrooms

When completing a wetroom we always use Impey shower trays. A solid or suspended floor is no problem & each installation will have a full waterproof tanking kit installed on the floor & walls.

Furniture, tiling, showers and lighting

Fitted furniture and luxurious worktops from leading suppliers, a complete tiling and plastering service, electric, power or gravity feed showers, and down lights, wall lights or bespoke lights.
